Dr. Hiba AlHumaidan is a clinical pathologist with a subspecialty in Transfusion Medicine and Blood Banking. She currently works as a consultant pathologist and Chair for the Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology in Dubai Health, Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
Dr. Alhumaidan holds a medical degree from the Royal College of surgeons in Ireland. She joined a clinical pathology residency program at Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University in Rhode Island and subsequently joined a fellowship program in transfusion medicine and blood banking at Yale University School of medicine in Connecticut. She is double board certified by the American board of pathology in clinical pathology and in transfusion medicine and blood banking.
During her years, Dr. Alhumaidan worked and developed a great interest in patient blood management, cell therapy , therapeutic apheresis and Red blood cell genotyping.
