A/Prof Lacey Johnson is a Principal Research Fellow at Australian Red Cross Lifeblood and holds honorary appointments at the University of Technology Sydney and RMIT University. An internationally recognised cell biologist, her research focuses on platelet biology and improving the quality and safety of platelet products for transfusion. Her work spans basic, translational and clinical research, including clinical trials of novel blood products. She has authored over 70 peer-reviewed publications, leads extensive national and international collaborations, serves as Secretary of the ISBT Blood Components Working Party, and actively mentors emerging researchers in transfusion medicine.
