Detect Trichomonas vaginalis infection; diagnosis and management of symptomatic or asymptomatic infection.
Urine, Vaginal swab or Cervical cells scrapings
1. Urine: 2 mL 2. Vaginal swab: 1 swab 3. Cervical cells scrapings: 2 mL
Urine: Sterile urine container without preservative or Aptima urine specimen collection tube. Vaginal swab: Aptima swab / Dry swab. Cervical cells scrapings: ThinPrep or Surepath vial
No special preparation is required for this test. You may eat, drink, and take your medications as normal, unless instructed otherwise by your healthcare provider.
This test does not require any special collection or pre-analytical handling. Follow routine specimen collection protocols.
