Thyroglobulin (Tg): A protein produced by the thyroid gland, used primarily as a tumor marker in patients with thyroid cancer, especially after thyroidectomy or radioactive iodine treatment. Thyroglobulin Antibodies (TgAb): These are autoantibodies directed against thyroglobulin, often measured alongside Tg to detect interference with Tg measurement and to aid in diagnosing autoimmune thyroid disease.
