Specimen Type

Formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded(FFPE) tissue and/or Slides sectioned from tissue block

Volume

One paraffin block and/or two unstained slides sectioned from tissue block for each requested stain

Specimen Container

Paraffin block transport pouch or slide container

Patient Preparation

No special preparation is required for this test. You may eat, drink, and take your medications as normal, unless instructed otherwise by your healthcare provider.

Collection

Tissue biopsy should be fixed in 10% neutral buffered formalin for no more than 72 hours. Embed in paraffin.
