Staining procedure to detect specific antigens in tissues. Used in cancer diagnostics and pathology.
Formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded(FFPE) tissue and/or Slides sectioned from tissue block
One paraffin block and/or two unstained slides sectioned from tissue block for each requested stain
Paraffin block transport pouch or slide container
No special preparation is required for this test. You may eat, drink, and take your medications as normal, unless instructed otherwise by your healthcare provider.
Tissue biopsy should be fixed in 10% neutral buffered formalin for no more than 72 hours. Embed in paraffin. Immunohistochemistry or immunocytochemistry, each separately identifiable antibody per block, cytologic preparation or hematologic smear, first separately identifiable antibody per slide, 88341 Immunohistochemistry or immunocytochemistry, each separately identifiable antibody per block, cytologic preparation or hematologic smear, each additional separately identifiable antibody per slide
