Patient Preparation

No special preparation is required for this test. You may eat, drink, and take your medications as normal, unless instructed otherwise by your healthcare provider.

Collection

Specimen must be drawn in a prewarmed tube and kept at 37°C. Separate plasma from cells immediately, and transfer the plasma into a clean transport tube. Label transport tube "Prewarmed."
