Test Overview

Is a prenatal diagnostic test that analyzes fetal chromosomes from placental tissue to detect chromosomal abnormalities such as aneuploidies (e.g., Trisomy 21) and structural rearrangements. Performed between 10–13 weeks of gestation, it uses cultured chorionic villi cells to generate a karyotype.
