Gluten Sensitivity Panel, Gluten Panel, Gliadin Antibodies, Tissue Transglutaminase Anibodies
Up to 72 hours
Immunoturbidimetry (Total IgA) Multiplex Flow Immunoassay
Test Includes: Immunoglobulin A, Gliadin Abs IgG & IgA, Tissue transglutaminase IgG and IgA
Accredited NRL Laboratory
3 times per week
The celiac disease antibody profile is used to screen for and help diagnose celiac disease by detecting immune reactions to gluten. Key components include the following antibodies: tTG-IgA (tissue transglutaminase; the primary screening marker) and tTG-IgG, as well as DGP-IgA and IgG ((Deaminated) Gliadin Peptide) and total IgA (to rule out deficiency). Two tubes of blood will be collected for this test.
Serum and Plasma
Minimum 1 mL in each tube
Serum (SST; Gold Top or plain serum; Red Top) AND Lithium Heparin Plasma (Green Top) 2 serum tubes are acceptable but NOT 2 plasma tubes
No special preparation is required for this test. You may eat, drink, and take your medications as normal, unless instructed otherwise by your healthcare provider.
