A random (spot) urine calcium-to-creatinine ratio helps assess kidney stone risk (hypercalciuria), evaluate calcium metabolism disorders, and aid in differential diagnoses for abnormal serum calcium levels, e.g. hyperparathyroidism.

Results are reported in conventional units (mg/dL and mg/g)
