Chemiluminescent Immunoassay (CLIA)
Accredited NRL Laboratory
Wednesday and Friday
Extended sampling of aldosterone levels, perhaps for research or detailed adrenal function testing. Multiple specimens allow plotting aldosterone response curves (e.g., throughout the day or to prolonged stimuli). Persistent inappropriate elevation across five samples would underscore an aldosterone-secreting adenoma or hyperplasia.
Serum
0.5 mL per tube
Red top tube or Gel barrier tube
