Dr. Sara El Bisari is a distinguised leader in Clinical Cytogenetics and Cytogenomics bringing over two decades of expertise across reproductive, prenatal, hematological, and cancer cytogenomics.
She currently serves as the Technical Director of Cytogenetics at the National Reference Laboratory in Abu Dhabi, where she spearheads advanced diagnostic services, drives innovation in cytogenomic technologies, and oversees international accreditation initiatives.
Throughout her career, she has been instrumental in establishing cytogenetics and PGT laboratories, advancing the application of shallow whole genome sequencing, and scaling high-throughput NIPT services to meet growing diagnostic demands.
Her contributions extend beyond the laboratory - she is actively engaged in the training of pre- and postgraduate students and interns, and is a recognized speaker with published contributions to the field.
