His keen interest in laboratory coagulation diagnostics has culminated in a series of significant publications. These works predominantly revolve around the investigation and management of bleeding disorders, employing advanced viscoelastic testing techniques such as ROTEM and TEG, mainly to identify predictors of bleeding through these advanced testing methods and to optimize blood management in different patient populations, through the utilization of ROTEM/TEG-guided transfusion algorithms. His contributions in this domain have been influential in enhancing the understanding and treatment of these complex conditions.

Prior to joining the National Reference Laboratory, Dr Al Moosawi worked as a Hematopathologist at the Royal Hospital (Ministry of Health, Sultanate of Oman). He is a trainer in the Oman Specialty Board for the Hematopathology program.
