Dr. Andrew Turner PhD, FIBMS

Dr. Andrew Turner is a British Biomedical Scientist with over 30 years’ experience working in clinical laboratories in the UK, Saudi Arabia, Australia and the UAE.
Within the UAE Dr. Andrew has held various leadership roles in pathology laboratories. He was the Laboratory Manager for Sheikh Khalifa Medical City (SKMC) for several years before being promoted to Chief Operating Officer for SEHA laboratories. Andrew left SEHA in 2015 to take a position as Laboratory Director for the Al Noor / Mediclinic group and subsequently moved to Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi (CCAD) in 2016 to become Senior Manager of Clinical Pathology. Andrew joined NRL in 2019 when NRL won the contract to manage CCAD laboratory. In his role at NRL, he is part of the scientific leadership team and oversees the technical operations for all the laboratories within NRL’s network.
He earned his BSc in Chemistry from Exeter University and went on to obtain a MSc in Immunology and PhD in Molecular Biology from the University of the West of England (UWE). Additionally, he is a Fellow of the UK Institute of Biomedical Science.
