No special preparation is required for this test. You may eat, drink, and take your medications as normal, unless instructed otherwise by your healthcare provider.
Serum should be separated from cells within 2 hours of venipuncture. Send Serum in a plastic transport tube. Mark specimens clearly as "pre" or "post" so specimens will be saved and tested simultaneously.
