14 days
Multiplex fluorescent immunoassay
Causes for Rejection:
Insufficient sample volume (<200 uL)
Accredited Laboratory Partner
Pneumococcal antibody testing designed for PCV15 evaluates immune response to the 15 serotypes included in the vaccine (1, 3, 4, 5, 6A, 6B, 7F, 9V, 14, 18C, 19A, 19F, 22F, 23F, and 33F). This testing is clinically important for assessing protection against invasive pneumococcal disease, particularly in individuals at increased risk.21 The serotype coverage included in this testing enhances the panel's ability to evaluate protective immunity across a broader spectrum of pneumococcal strains.
Serum
1 mL
Red top or serum separator tube (SST)
No special preparation is required for this test; you may eat and drink as normal, unless instructed otherwise by your healthcare provider. However, a trough (pre-dose) sample is preferred.
Blood should be allowed to clot 30-60 minutes.
Centrifuge tube at 1,000 xg for 15 minutes, ambient.
