Patient Preparation

8-hour fast required. Patients may drink water, black coffee, or tea (no dairy or sugar). Supplements (e.g., fish oil) should be avoided. Non-fasting samples will be rejected.

Collection

Draw, invert 8 times, and centrifuge for 10–15 minutes at 1100–1300 RCF. Transfer serum/plasma to an aliquot tube and label accordingly.
