Green-top (heparin) tube or lavender-top (EDTA) tube or royal blue-top (EDTA) tube or tan-top lead free tube
No special preparation is required for this test. You may eat, drink, and take your medications as normal, unless instructed otherwise by your healthcare provider.
Centrifuge tube as soon as possible and separate plasma from cells. Discard the plasma. Using the original collection tube, submit only the RBCs to the laboratory.
