HLA DPA1/DPB1 typing identifies genetic variants of the DPA1 and DPB1 loci within the human leukocyte antigen (HLA) system. These genes encode class II MHC molecules that play a central role in the immune response by presenting peptides to CD4+ T-helper cells.
