Agar with Mold/Fungus or Aspirate, biopsy, body fluid, BAL nails, hair skin, sinus sputum, stool, Urine, genital

Volume

2 mL or 1 cc tissue, whole nails or scrapings, hairs, skin scrapings, 50 mL body fluid

Specimen Container

Sterile container with fluid or tissue, bacterial swab transports 

Patient Preparation

No special preparation is required for this test. You may eat, drink, and take your medications as normal, unless instructed otherwise by your healthcare provider.
