Plastic urine container without preservative (preferred). 6N HCl or 1g/L Boric acid may be added as a preservative, but may adversely impact other tests for kidney stones or urinalysis.
No special preparation is required for this test. You may eat, drink, and take your medications as normal, unless instructed otherwise by your healthcare provider.
