Methodology

Next Generation Sequencing for Anuploidy testing

Performing Location

Accredited NRL Laboratory

Testing Frequency

Monday to Friday. 3 PM last drop off on all working days

Test Overview

Is a high-resolution prenatal genetic test that analyzes fetal DNA in amniotic fluid to detect gains or losses (aneuploidy) across all 24 chromosomes (22 autosomes + X and Y). It offers greater sensitivity than traditional karyotyping and provides results within a shorter timeframe, typically 5–7 days. This test is useful for identifying conditions like Down syndrome, Edwards syndrome, Patau syndrome, and sex chromosome abnormalities.
