The Students Internship Program is a comprehensive training initiative designed to enhance the practical skills and knowledge of undergraduate students pursuing degrees in medical laboratory science or related fields. This program offers students the opportunity to observe hands-on in a clinical laboratory setting, complementing their classroom education and preparing them for future careers in medical laboratory technology.
Clinical Laboratory Placement: Students will be placed in clinical laboratories within diagnostic cluster facilities such as Health point, Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, ICLDC, Danat Hospital, and NRL-ICAD.
Supervision: Students will observe laboratory operations under the supervision of experienced and certified medical laboratory professionals.
Observational Experience: Students will observe laboratory testing, instrument operation, and result interpretation.
Departmental Rotations: Students may rotate through different laboratory departments to gain broader exposure.
Skills Development: Focus on specimen handling observation, testing processes, data understanding, and workflow awareness.
Safety Training: Emphasis on laboratory safety protocols and handling of hazardous materials.
