Mr. Rawashdeh obtained a Master of Science in Human Genetics and Genetic Counseling from Sarah Lawrence College, New York, USA, in 2009. He also holds a Master of Science in Applied Biology, and Bachelor of Science in Applied Biology, from Jordan University of Science and Technology, Irbid, Jordan. Mr. Rawashdeh is certified by the American Board of Genetic Counseling since 2011.

Mr. Rawashdeh has fifteen years of international clinical, academic and administrative experience in genetic counseling and molecular laboratory diagnostics. He has a special interest in state-of-the-art genetic testing and interpretation, and the creation of patient friendly educational materials, to promote public awareness about genetic disorders and the genetic counseling profession.

Mr. Rawashdeh worked as a Senior Certified Genetic Counselor at the Department of Medical Genetics, King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Center (KFSHRC), Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, from 2012 to 2018. During this time he was also a Senior Lecturer at Al Faisal University, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and Coordinator of the University’s Genetic Counseling Masters Training Program. Previous to this, Mr. Rawashdeh worked as a Laboratory and Preconception/Prenatal Genetic Counselor at Emory Genetics Laboratory, Emory University, Georgia, USA.

Mr. Rawashdeh has authored a number of peer reviewed publications in the field of genetics and genetic counseling. He contributes regularly at scientific workshops and conferences in MENA and the USA, and is an active member of the National Society of Genetic Counselors (USA).
