Dr. Suhaila Alameeri

Consultant Anatomic Pathologist

Dr. Suhaila Alameeri is a Consultant Anatomic Pathologist and Adjunct Assistant Professor at the College of Medicine and Health Science at the United Arab Emirates University.

Dr. Alameeri has obtained her Bachelor Degree in Medicine and Surgery in 1996, at the Cairo University, Egypt. In 2007, she completed her residency program in anatomic pathology at the King Faisal Hospital and Research Center and King Saud University in Riyadh, KSA, and in 2008, completed a Fellowship at the Royal College of Pathologists Australasia (FRCPA). In 2013, Dr. Suhaila was awarded a Master’s Degree in Quality Management from the Wollongong University in Dubai.

Dr. Suhaila has over ten years of vast working experience in different roles, including clinical, academic, administrative and advisory responsibilities. Her clinical experience is in general surgical pathology, with focus and interest in breast and gynaecologic pathology. She worked as a Histopathology Specialist at the Mafraq Hospital Abu Dhabi from 2007 to 2010, and as from 2010 to 2013 as a consultant. She was the Acting Chief of the Anatomic Pathology Section at Mafraq Hospital from 2011 to 2013 and from 2013 to 2016 as a Chief of Anatomic Pathology at Sheikh Khalifa Medical City (SKMC) in Abu Dhabi.

Dr. Suhaila is an active member of many organizations and committees, including the National Task Force for Breast Cancer and Cervical Cancer Screening Program, under the Health Authority Abu Dhabi since 2009, in addition to being a frequent lecturer in regional educational events.

Dr. Alameeri joined NRL as a Consultant Anatomic Pathologist in 2017.
